This series creatively transforms recycled aluminum die-cast industrial lamp shells into new lighting products. It converts unused, outdated, or surplus materials and items into branded and aesthetically valuable products. With programmable photoelectric technology, it recreates the organic superposition of light, time, and space. The aim is to enable people to perceive flowing and tangible time within limited spaces.

Like tides constantly surging, the product hopes to actively integrate into our living scenes through the carrier of light, endowing a more poetic perception of time.

BIAS is an independent lighting brand of Uncertain Lab(A Chinese design studio), co-founded by architect Xie Jinfan and mechanical designer Zhang Jiran.

BIAS means deviation, which is a numerical value in statistics to describe the difference between estimated value and reality, so as to express a way of change caused by deviation. In design, programming and optoelectronic technology are used to change the stable attributes of light source, and time is introduced as a new medium into the design category of lamps. It is tried to break through the limitation of design in the time dimension, so as to create flowing time that can be focused in space.
